  1.                         GENERAL INFORMATION ON METRO BBS

  3.         The Metro BBS is a bulletin board program where callers can write
  4. public or private messages.  They can also download programs to run on
  5. their own computers or upload programs for others to use.  Metro also has
  6. a door area where games and other programs can be run by the caller.
  7.         Metro supports ANSI graphics for people placing their call with
  8. the proper telecommunications software.  When using ANSI, the bbs will be
  9. in color and sometimes the cursor may move around the screen and draw a
  10. picture.
  11.         Metro supports several protocols for uploading and downloading.
  12. Among them are XMODEM, YMODEM, ZMODEM and JMODEM.  You must set your commun-
  13. ication program and Metro to the same protocol or the transfer will not take
  14. place.
